How Dividend Changes Are Detected
Every day, GitHub Actions collects dividend payment history from Yahoo Finance and saves it as a snapshot file. Before generating a new snapshot, the previous day's data is preserved. When a company's most recent per-share dividend payment differs from the previous snapshot, it is flagged as a possible raise or cut. Confirm the change with the company's announcement or filing before drawing conclusions.
